Notes:
The mangled remains of Josele Garza's racer dangle from a tow truck after a violent 150 mph crash at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course August 31. A crash-resistant fuel cell designed and built by Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, Ohio, remained intact. Garza, who was trapped in the race car for an extended period, credited the Goodyear fuel cell with saving his life.
