Ford Power For "Tall Ship"
The Ford of Britain Trust has provided the money to purchase two Ford 2720 Series diesel engines for Britain's most famous tall ship, the Sail Training Association's 46 metre schooner "Sir Winston Churchill".
The marinised Ford engines were handed over to Mr John Hornsby (left), Chairman, Sail Training Association Schooners, by Mr. John Hougham (right), Director of Personnel, Ford Motor Company Limited on September 21, 1987. With them is the Captain of the "Churchill", Mr. Mike Foreward.
