Two Bodies On One Chassis

Like a harbinger of the 1918 vogue in automobile coach work, the Carrm convertible body already has made its appearance and within a few months, it will not be an uncommon sight to see the motorist making his car into a roadster or touring car or vice-versa, the transformation taking but two minutes. The illustration shows a standard make of car equipped with a Carrm body ready for comfortable occupancy seven persons. When used as a roadster the doors are enclosed with the two folding seats in the tonneau. The American Motors, Inc., New York City, is making plans to produce this body on a large scale.

Touring Car "Inside" A Roadster 192102

Before summer of 1917 has passed many leading automobiles, it is expected, will be equipped with a body that is convertible into a five or seven passenger touring car or a two passenger roadster, the simple operation taking but two minutes. The models, on exhibition at the offices of the American Motors, Inc., New York City, are snappy and foreign looking in their lines and appointments. The Carrm convertible body bears the name of the inventor who has spent thirteen in its perfection.
