The New-Sized Buick Special Station Wagon

Outstanding styling, comfort and roominess are featured in the new six-passenger, four-door Buick Special station wagon, the 1961 car of a new size. The Buick Special is on a 112-inch wheelbase and weighs slightly more than 2,700 pounds, some 1,600 pounds lighter than the conventional Buicks. The automobile industry's first American aluminum V-8 engine develops 155 horsepower and gives the Special lively performance comparable to that of the bigger models in the Buick line. A newly created torque converter transmission, power steering, air conditioning and other outstanding options are avilable on all models of the Special.
