Buick's New Invicta Hardtop for 1961

Clean and sweeping lines, exemplified by missile-shaped front fenders, and increased interior comfort and roominess are the outstanding characteristics of Buick's two-door Invicta hardtop. Powered by a 401-cubic-inch V-8 engine, the Invicta is the outstanding performer in the Buick line. As in all regular-sized Buicks for 1961, the floor tunnel in the Invicta has been lowered substantially through shortening the turbine drive transmission and the use of a revolutionary new driveline. Invicta comes in standard and custom models. The four-door Invicta Custom hardtops have luxurious glove-soft leather interiors. Bucket seats are avilable in the two-door Invicta Custom hardtop. The new, improved turbine drive transmission is standard equipment on Invicta. All regular-sized Buicks for 1961 are equipped with finned aluminum brake drums on the front wheels.
