For Use: In Connection with THE NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE SHOW The Coliseum, New York, April 3-11, 1971
An illustration of how the convertible top folds on the all-new 1971 Buick Centurion featured in the International Automobile Show )April 3-11 at the New York Coliseum), a Buick engineering development and the first major change for folding tops in many years. Standard-equipment side rails (upper photo) fold inward, permitting the top to fit more neatly into the well (bottom photo) and making a full-width rear seat available in convertibles for the first time. Side rails for the old method folded alongside the rear seat, reducing shoulder room.
