Chevrolet's 1989 Cavalier...is the first GM vehicle to have the new GM-designed "self-aligning" safety steering whell which features a unique energy-absorbing hub which helps to spread the force of the impact and reduce chest injuries. The Cavalier Z24- in coupe or convertible (above)- boasts gas-pressurized shocks for quicker, more responsive handling and a new custom cloth interior. Performance hardware includes a 2.8 liter V6 with multi-port fuel injection, 5-speed manual transmission, P215/60R-14 EAgle GT+4 tires on cast-aluminum wheels and an FE3 sport suspension. Cavalier is America's most complete nameplate, offering four body styles, two series and a variety of available equipment.
