What is a Clenet…..? an elegant $83,000 original design, numbered limited edition handcrafted automobile, made in Santa Barbara, California. And Gary Berwin, owner of the Berwin Entertianment Complex in downtown Hollywood has owned, and sold, five Clenets over the past four years: All at a substantial profit.

As unusual as this may sound, Gary Berwin is only one member of a very unique family; the Clenet family of owners. Since completion of the limited production of only 250 Series I 2-passenger Clenet Roadsters in January 1980, and introduction of the Series II 4-passenger Cabriolet, a sampling of Clenet owners indicate that there has yet to be an instance where money was lost on the resale of the car. According to one Wall Street source, this is possibly the only example in modern history, with the exception of Porsche, where an automobile has been consistently escalating in value instead of depreciating. “I buy a Clenet, drive it a while, then sell it for a profit” says Gary Berwin. “There is no other automobile that offers this kind of investment potential in addition to handcrafted quality of a limited work of art. Besides, try and name another collectible you can use on a regular basis that not only increases in value, but is so much fun.” Consider the fact that Gary Berwin has also owned and sold a number of classic Rolls Royces, Ferraris and Bentleys, and it gives strong credibility to his statement.
