Among those on hand for the preview showing of 1940 General Motors products at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York, were former Governor Alfred E. Smith (at wheel of new Chevrolet convertible) and John J. Raskob, financier. Pair were among guests of Alfred P. Sloan, Jr. at the preview which preceded opening to the public of the exhibit on Saturday October 14th.
