THE DODGE SHELBY CHARGER performs. The 1983 ½ model, with increased horsepower, closer gear ratios, quicker steering , stiffer suspension, and improved braking, goes into production in February. The car features graphics inspired by famed race car driver and designer Carroll Shelby. The Shelby look includes air dam, ground effect skirts, quarter window plug, rear spoiler, logo and “skunk stripe.” The Shelby Charger is available in combinations of Santa Fe blue and silver. The interiors are silver and darker blue with special Shelby logo embroidered on the head rests.
