Shown here is the Fire Dome V-8 4-door sedan, whose Fire Dome engine is stepped up to 170 horsepower with a compression ratio of 7.5 to 1. Six body styles are offered in the Fire Dome V-8 series; there are four available in the Powermaster Six line. In addition to the new fully-automatic PowerFlite transmission, De Soto offers such features as: Full-Time Power Steering; Powre brakes; De Soto Airtemp Air Conditioning; electric window lifts; Solex glare-resistant glass. Exterior styling of the new De Soto emphasizes clean, smooth0flowing body lines to produce a longer, wider car with a low, road-hugging look.
