The unprecedented strain put on the track by the four Presidents was more than it could stand, and the boards give way in many places, opening up great crevasses. The going was rough and cost the cars much valuable time, but on they went to make the greatest endurnace and stamina record in history - 30,000 miles in less than 27,000 cosecutive minutes. 1928
