The sleek, 40-inch high Ford GT40 has been a factor in motorsports events around the world for the past six years. It is making a brief farewell appearance in the Constructor’s Championship event at Watkins Glen, N.Y., Saturday, July 12, 1969. The GT40 earned for Ford the World Manufacturer’s Championship in 1966 and 1968. And four-times winner at Le Mans.
