Bill Lawton in the Tasca Mystery 7 Mustang (above) is one of the quickest and most popular exhibition car drivers in New England. His “flip-top” Mustang is powered by a supercharged 427-cubic-inch single overhead cam engine. George Montgomery’s AA/Gas Mustang is far and away the outstanding car in its class in the country. Ohio George holds the NHRA class record for top speed (162.16 mph) and elapsed time (8.93) and rarely loses a race.
