LE MANS BOUND – B.F. Goodrich Tire Company will sponsor a star-spangled All-American Corvette team in the famous 24 hours of Le Mans auto race June 9-10, 1973. Headed by drivers John Greenwood and Bob Johnson, the Goodrich team will contest the race on Lifesaver Radial street tires for the second straight year. In 1972 Greenwood qualified his BFG Corvette on the pole in the Grand Touring class. Mechanical maladies knocked both cars out before the finish, however. Other drivers on the BFG team are Don Yenko and Rob Grable in a 2^nd car, with Jim Greendyke standing by for relief driving.
