Notes: Sleek and sporty, the 1971 Mustang is available in six sports oriented models and offers a selection of seven powerplants. The SportsRoof model (top) features a unique "flat-roof" design and Mustang's all-new sheet metal with new front and rear appearance. The Grande (bottom0, Mustang's luxury offering, has a distinctive "tunnel backlite" design in which the rear window is recessed between swept back roof pillars. Mustang is available in two-door SportsRoof, hardtop and convertible versions.
