Notes: For the performance enthusiast, the 1971 Mustang offers a brand new Boss 351 model (top) with a standard 330-horsepower, 351-cubic-inch high-output V-8 engine. A street version of the Mustang Trans-Am racing cars, the Boss features quick-ratio manual steering, competition suspension, front spoiler and dual exhausts. The 1971 Mustangs debut at Ford dealerships on September 18 (Boss 351 available in November). The '71 Mustang convertible offers increased rear seat room, a neater interior appearance and more convenient top operation. Mustang also is available in two-door hardtop and luxurious Grande versions.
