ARMY WORKHORSE – The M1512A, modern successor to the renowned military Jeep of World War II, is now being produced by AM General Corporation, subsidiary of American Motors, in South Bend, Indiana. The quarter-ton, four-wheel-drive vehicle features unitized construction, four-wheel independent suspension and many other engineering advancements. It is powered by a four-cylinder overhead-valve gasoline engine.
