Kaiser Motors, Jackson, Mich.
A 1953 Kaiser Manhattan glides down a flight of stone steps in a dramatic demonstration of the effectiveness of Kaiser-Frazer’s new “full control” power steering. With conventional unassisted steering, the shock of the eight-inch steps would twist the wheel from the driver’s hands. Simplest and least expensive yet produced, the Kaiser hydraulic unit absorbs road shock and provides virtually effortless steering control at all speeds.
