Title: Kaiser sedan - 1947
Media Type:
Photographic Prints
Source: Automobile Reference Collection
Notes:
The Kaiser car, made by the Kaiser-Frazer Corp., is first in the American, low-priced field to have front-wheel drive. Body and chassis form a single unit of ‘monocoque-type’ construction, eliminating strain, shifting between body and frame, and body squeaks. It has a 6-cylinder Continental engine and independent ‘torsionetic suspension’ on all four wheels. The rear seat is 62 inches wide, providing roomy, comfortable travel.
