Elizabeth LaBan is the author of the young adult novel The Tragedy Paper and The Grandparents Handbook. She teaches fiction writing at the University of Pennsylvania and is a freelance writer and editor whose work has appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Newsday, and The Times-Picayune, among other publications. She also ghost writes a weekly column and has ghost written two books. In her debut novel for adults, LaBan, who is married to Philadelphia Inquirer restaurant critic Craig LaBan, presents a heartfelt and relatable story about navigating the difficulties of marriage, motherhood, and maintaining a sense of self amid a usually concealed view of the restaurant world.
