Louis J. Parascandola is a Professor of Humanities at Long Island University, Brooklyn. He has published several books on Black authors including Eric Walrond, Gwendolyn Bennett, J. A. Rogers, and Amy Jacques Garvey. He is currently working on two projects, one a collection of the writings of Black Communist, Eugene Gordon (U Mass Press) and one with his brother John on Atlantic City writings (Rutgers UP). Please join us as we introduce his latest work A Black Philadelphia Reader on Saturday September 14th @ 1pm in Room 108 located on the first floor. This event is free and open to the public.
