Free Workshops at the Free Library for Jobseekers

Workplace Wednesdays, a series of free workshops on job searching and career change, are being offered by The Workplace at the Free Library of Philadelphia. The workshops offered in March and April are as follows:

March 1 - Skills Assessment

March 8 - Career Decision Making

March 15 - Resume Writing

March 22 - Resume Critique*

March 29 - Preparing for a Job Fair

April 5 - ENTRY LEVEL JOB FAIR (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)

April 12 - Interviewing Skills

April 19 - Library Resources for Job Seekers**

*Sign up required and a completed resume for review.

**Sign up required for Library Resources, which will be held in the Tech Lab. Some computer and keyboarding skills are required.

Workplace Wednesday workshops are held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Skyline Room of the Central Library at 19th and Vine Streets. They are open to the public free of charge.

The Workplace is a resource center for adult job seekers or those who wish to explore different careers. Workplace services include public access computers for job search activities (such as resumes and cover letters), and print materials such as books, magazines and newsletters. Librarians are also available to present programs to groups from schools and agencies on topics related to careers and the job search process.
