When: Saturday, April 29, at 1:00 p.m.

Where: Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, Room 108

Who:

The American Library Association, Investor Protection Trust, and the Evelyn Brust Foundation bring library users Investor Education @ Your Library. This non-commercial program is designed to educate future investors about personal finance without the customer pressure typical at commercial investment seminars.

The 90-minute seminar will cover the essentials of investing--stocks, bonds, mutual funds, as well as college and retirement saving options. Representatives from the Pennsylvania Securities Commission will address investor protection and fraud issues. Participants will be given materials prepared by Investor Protection Trust (IPT), editors of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and members of the Business and Services Section of the Reference and User Services Association.

Following the lecture will be an optional confidential one-on-one meeting with a licensed investment counselor. Inform yourself-learn the keys to investing success!

The event is free and open to the public, but participants must register by April 22 by calling 215-686-5394 or emailing erefbsi@freelibrary.org .
