Free Workshops at the Free Library for Job Seekers
Come to the Central Library to learn about changing careers, conducting a job search, developing a resume, and more at Workplace Wednesdays, a series of free workshops generously funded by a grant from Bank of America.
Workplace Wednesdays are designed for adult job seekers, and are held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Skyline Room, on the fourth floor. Workshops are FREE of charge.
The workshops for September and October of 2006 are as follows:

October 4 - Resume Critique*
October 11 - Job Interview Skills
October 18 - Library Resources for Job Hunting**
October 25 - Money Smart: Budgeting and Understanding Your Credit Report

** Sign up required for Library Resources, which will be held in the Tech Lab.
Some computer and keyboarding skills required.
The Workplace is a resource center for adult job seekers or those who wish to explore different careers. Workplace services include: public access computers for job search activities and word processing, as well as a wide selection of print materials. Librarians are also available to present programs to groups from schools and agencies on topics related to careers and the job search process.
