The SBA Partners with the Urban League of Philadelphia

February 14, 2007: The U.S. Small Business Administration partners with the Urban League of Philadelphia to present a series of entrepreneurial workshops targeting individuals who are considering or in the process of starting a small business. Featured workshop presenters include the U.S. Small Business Administration, Wharton Small Business Development Center, The Free Library of Philadelphia, SCORE - Counselors To America’s Small Businesses Consumer Credit Counseling of Delaware Valley and other local organizations.

The workshops will provide the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the steps involved in starting a business including business basics, developing a business idea, identifying target market(s), writing a business plan, sources of financing, and resources that are available to assist you through the process.

All workshops will be held at The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Central Branch at 1901 Vine Street at 6:00pm. All workshops are free and open to the public. Join us on:

· March 14 - Business Feasibility & Determining Your Market

· March 21 - The Business Plan

· March 28 - Access to Capital

· April 4 - Technical Assistance for Small Businesses
