I’m the children’s librarian who hosts weekly Storytime for babies. The librarian who voraciously reads early chapter books about aliens and graphic novels about unicorns and their humans. But I also devour romance novels, bodice rippers, and smut books by the page. I blame library school for this obsession. For years, all I read were the "classics," until I was challenged to read a genre outside my norm, a book that was a best-seller. I picked up a New York Times best-selling romance novel and the rest, as they say, is history!
I’ve read every genre of romance: western, historical, sci-fi, contemporary, new adult, and so many more. My favorite author by far, given how many times I’ve re-read her books, is Kristen Ashley. Her contemporary series are simply amazing; witty, heart-wrenching, steamy, and so much more. She writes the ultimate "book boyfriend" and kick-butt heroine. Out of all the series she writes, my favorite has to be the Rock Chicks.
The first book in this series, Rock Chick, features the ultimate alpha hero Liam "Lee" Nightingale. The book has action, love, parties with cashews, and of course the prerequisite HEA. (For those of you not in the know, an HEA means "Happily Ever After," which is a must in the romance genre.) I have read and re-read the entire Rock Chicks series many times over. In fact, I need to end this blog post and pick up Lee’s story once again! Rock on!
