New Penguin Ebooks

Last week we learned that Penguin Books (which recently merged with Random House Books to form Penguin Random House) will once again make their ebooks available to libraries. Penguin has also agreed to lift the requirement that Kindle versions of their titles be side-loaded over a USB connection and can now be delivered wirelessly. While we are still awaiting details on exactly how all of this will work for readers, we have already added our first new order of Penguin ebooks since they suspended library sales in February, 2012. About 500 new Penguine titles are available for checkout at our Overdrive site now. Highlights include ebooks by writers like Thomas Pynchon, Clive Cussler, Sylvia Day, Lillian Jackson Brown, Dick Francis, Steve Martini, Catherine Coulter, and more. We hope you enjoy our new and improved selection of ebooks!

As always, the Free Library Foundation welcomes contributions to its ebook fund to help grow its collections. Click here to make a donation today!”?
