Get Informed About Changing Energy Prices

By Michelle S. RSS Fri, November 19, 2010

Beginning January 1, 2011, the prices you pay for electricity will be based on electric market pricing, after having been capped for more than 10 years, meaning that the cost of gas and electricity will increase in the new year.

Local energy provider PECO has recently launched a Smart Ideas suite of energy saving programs designed to help offset this price increase. From offering discounted compact flourescent lightbulbs to rebates for purchasing qualified energy-efficient appliances and products, Smart Ideas will help PECO customers save money once energy prices increase.

For more information about PECO's Smart Ideas, visit peco.com/smartideas.

Electric and gas costs are getting out of hand. I am glad that options for offsetting the cost, are available. My husband and I just received out rebate for buying a new much more efficient refrigerator. Have a nice day.
