Remembering Steve Jobs

The news of Steve Jobs’s passing caused worldwide mourning, as fans of Apple paid tribute to the innovator, expressing grief on social media or webpages that they accessed on Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, or Macs.

Jobs’s death also triggered a collective reflection on the ways Apple products changed the way we live. Last month when Jobs stepped down as Apple CEO, I wrote a post about how these devices have even made access to the Library and our services so much easier. Whether your home computer is a Microsoft laptop or an Apple iMac, it’s hard to imagine a life (or even a day) without exposure to a product Jobs had a hand in creating.
