Free Library of Philadelphia's Google+ Page Sees Increased Number of Followers

Back in May we posted about the Google+ redesign, which included a multiple column layout, consistency across devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile), an emphasis on visual content with the ability to post and view larger photos and videos, a new related hastag system (i.e., click on the hashtag #LoveTheLibrary, and then be able to browse related content from other posts on that particular Google+ page), and an emphasis on overall content discovery and discussion.

Google+ overall has seen an increase in users ever since the redesign and Free Library's Google+ page is just shy of 13,000 followers!

The posts and content on our Google+ page lean more towards tech-related issues and topics, but we also are constantly posting about upcoming events at our branches, titles available via our online catalog, author events podcasts, top ebook downloads, summer reading and early literacy info for children and families, and much more. You'll always find interesting content on Free Library's Google+ page, spreading our mission of advancing literacy, guiding learning, and inspiring curiosity.

If you are looking for something a bit different in the realm of social media, you should definitely bookmark Free Library's Google+ page, or better yet, if you have a Gmail account and are already active on Google+, add us to your Circles by clicking on the orange "Follow" button at the top of the page!
