In addition to the recent design and layout updates on our blog, we've also now added social media sharing buttons and calendar features on various sections throughout the Free Library website.
You can now share all of the great content and events offered by Free Library via your favorite social media networks and show everyone how cultured and cool you truly are : )
The most popular social network icons display first by default (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and link for sharing via email), but by clicking the orange plus icon you get the option to choose from more than 80 other social networks from all over the World Wide Web, from Arto to ZicZac.
On the events page you will see a button to the right of the event labeled “Add to your calendar”. Clicking on this button opens a drop down menu that allows you to add the event to Google, Live, Yahoo!, and iCal/Outlook calendars. Social media icons are also available to share individual events.
Our digital collections house more than 30,000 digital images, from Historical Images of Philadelphia to fine arts to map collections to medieval manuscripts, so you'll be sure to find plenty of photos to pin to your Pinterest board.
Want to recommend a book to a friend or family member, looking for the latest New York Times bestsellers, or want to find a great bedtime book to read to your child? We've got tons of great booklists full of suggestions from our well-read staff, and now you can share those booklists via your social media network of choice.
