April 2014 Early Literacy Calendar

Spring has sprung!

And what better way to celebrate the end of winter and the refreshing shot of warm weather than with a new Early Literacy calendar, on International Children's Book Day no less!

This month's calendar is full of fun suggestions that parents and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop necessary early literacy skills. Besides the always great recommendations that the Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians curate each month,
the month of April is full of little-known holidays that you can celebrate with the children in your life like National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day or our personal favorite, National Librarian Day : )
