Be Quiet Mike!  by Leslie Patricelli
Mike, a monkey, makes much noise while doing his favorite activity: drumming! Everyone including his family tells him to be quiet. Yet, he wants to keep drumming. He especially yearns to keep drumming after seeing and wanting a new "full-size jamming drum set". But he has a problem: He has no money to buy it.
Children will love how he gets a drum set and his family's approval by the story's end. Be Quiet, Mike! is a good story for parents, caregivers, and storytellers to use while teaching children that they can solve problems for themselves.

Quiet LOUD, also by Leslie Patricelli would make a great companion book.

In Quiet LOUD, we see pairs of opposites. Our main character, a diapered baby with a sprig of hair, shows us that "Slippers are quiet. Mommy's shoes are LOUD." This is a Free Library of Philadelphia favorite during storytimes, since we librarians love to reinforce the ideas of quiet and loud to our youngest patrons. Plus, it's always fun to make monkey noises in the library!
