Be heard. Take the Philadelphia Parent & Guardian Impact Survey Now!

By Michelle S. RSS Mon, May 5, 2014

The Philadelphia Parent & Guardian Impact Survey will be available starting today through June 13, 2014! The survey provides parents and guardians of students in Philadelphia public and charter schools a way to let schools know what they think about the quality of education in Philadelphia.

The new survey was created with the help of parents and guardians, community members, students, principals, teachers, counselors, administrators, and researchers across the city and will be offered, for the first time, online. Hosting the survey online will enable broad access to the survey, reduce costs, and will allow results to be disseminated to parents, guardians, and schools more quickly than in the past. New this year as well, the survey will be offered in 17 languages.

The results of the survey will be used to help administrators and school staff make more informed decisions and to help foster a better understanding of the needs and strengths of schools in Philadelphia.

The survey will be available until 5:00 p.m. on June 13, 2014. We hope you will join us in making our schools great by taking the survey!

Our experience has been just okay. My son was a Kindergarten student for the 2013-14 school year. He's also a special education student. I found the transition process murky and full of redundancy, and especially difficult in light of the school closings this year. I also found the charter schools to be flooded with applications or limited by neighborhoods and not a viable option for us.
