The unofficial start of summer is under way and the next few months feature the promise of warm weather, outdoor activities, and time spent with family and friends. Good thing you can download another month's worth of Early Literacy activities and links from the Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians to take with you no matter where your summer scene may lead you!
One of the Free Library's biggest events of the year begins this month, Summer Reading! Online Summer Reading registration begins today, with our full kickoff party taking place on Monday, June 15th. This year's theme is The Summer of Wonder, marking the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland!
Once again, this month's Early Literacy calendar is full of fun suggestions that parents and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop necessary early literacy skills.
