Free Sunday Matinée: Otello

The Atlantic Coast Opera Festival and the Free Library of Philadelphia are excited to invite you to a special matinée performance of Verdi’s beloved opera, Otello, on Sunday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

The Atlantic Coast Opera Festival, "the voice of tomorrow’s opera stars," features top caliber artists you’ll soon hear on the international opera stage. Don’t miss this special curtain-raising engagement at the Free Library before the festival kicks off across the greater Philadelphia area August 23 - 29!

Reserve your tickets today for this exceptional, abridged performance presented by world-class opera singers, accompanied by the festival’s own Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.

This is FREE performance. Tickets are not mandatory but are encouraged as they let our organizers know how many people to expect. 

The Music Department at Parkway Central Library is a conservatory-quality music library, serving musicians, music students, researchers, and listeners. Check out the score or libretto of Otello to follow along with the live performance or to read while you listen to one of the many performances on CD or vinyl from the library’s collection.
