Picture Book Highlights | City Shapes

By Monica C. RSS Wed, August 3, 2016

We are starting a new series of posts: Picture Book Highlights will put the spotlight on a brand-new book that has been ordered for all our agencies.

Philadelphia is a large metropolitan city, so it is always fun to add titles to our collections in which the setting is both urban and vibrant—just like Philly!

City Shapes by Diana Murray is one of those books. It follows a little girl as she spots different shapes all around her neighborhood. Illustrated by Bryan Collier, with his lively watercolor and collage technique, City Shapes encourages young readers to look closer at their world and to celebrate city living.

Visit your neighborhood library to find this book and more!
