December 2016 Early Literacy Calendar

December is a time for family and feasts! It’s a great time to celebrate what makes a family and what we love to share with each other. And even though it hasn’t snowed quite yet, it is a great time to learn more about the wintry weather ahead!

This month's Early Literacy calendar and links, compiled by Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians, is full of great suggestions that parents and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop the five necessary Early Literacy skills of Reading, Writing, Talking, Singing, and Playing.
