It’s August and the first day of school is approaching fast. You’ve finally unearthed your Summer Reading lists, determined to read the book(s) and complete the assignments.
There are two categories: people who have the book and haven’t read it yet or those who don’t have the book at all.
If you have the book, then use this formula to complete your reading. (This method got me through high school and helped me stay sane.)
Number of pages in a book
÷
Number of days you have to read it
If you don’t have the book, you have a few choices:
- Visit your local library. If the book isn’t available, you can place a copy on reserve. Be aware that the waiting list grows as September approaches.
- Listen to the audiobook or download the ebook to a device with your library card and PIN number via:
- Hoopla Digital
- Overdrive
- One Click Digital *audiobooks only*
Don’t forget to take notes on each chapter as you read. This will help you find information quickly for any assignments/quizzes that are due on the first day of school.
