Michael Lewis, bestselling non-fiction author of such books as Liar's Poker, The New New Thing, and Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, arrived at the Free Library today at noon to give a free talk on his latest book, The Blind Side . With the aid of questions from Larry Platt, Editor in Chief of Philadelphia Magazine, Lewis' lecture largely covered the content of The Blind Side, which appeared in part in an issue of the New York Times Magazine back in September. From race and class divisions in the south, to football strategy, to the economics of sports, to his reporting methods -- Mr. Lewis' seamless storytelling kept the audience enthralled.
