First Ladies Scrabble Championship

Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the Falls of Schuylkill Branch , the gloves come off! First Lady Judge Marjorie O. Rendell will pit her wordplay skills against those of First Lady of Philadelphia, Naomi Street, in a historic game of SCRABBLE®. Their participation is part of PHILLY PLAYS SCRABBLE®, a program launched by the Free Library in partnership with ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships and Verizon. Philadelphia is the first in the nation to launch citywide SCRABBLE®. To get involved, check out the branch schedules, call ASAP at 215-545-3077, or email projects@phillyasap.org .
