Celebrate the Free Library at This Year’s Family Fest!

By Alexa L. Mon, March 25, 2019

Every year, the Free Library of Philadelphia hosts a Family Fest—a celebration just for children and their families in the historic Parkway Central Library. Open to the public, this very special fundraiser features activities for the whole family to enjoy.

In celebration of the recent launch of our new Knee-Hi Society membership, this year’s event will be a dog-themed paw-looza! Enjoy puppy-themed arts and crafts activities, a special game of "I Spy", and a storytime featuring some of your family’s favorite canine characters, from Clifford to Poky Puppy. And of course, there’ll be a kid-friendly buffet and adult-friendly beverages. Last but certainly not least, the event will conclude with a special dance activity for children and grown-ups, led by BalletX!

The 2019 Family Fest is part of the Reimagined Parkway Central Library’s grand opening festivities—and we are delighted to host our guests in some of these new, fantastic, spaces. Get your tickets or sponsor today to experience Parkway Central as never before. All funds raised will support the Free Library’s mission to advance literacy, guide learning, and inspire curiosity for Philadelphians of all ages and backgrounds. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
