The Free Library and all of our supporters get in the spirit of giving too. We raised $15,000 on Giving Tuesday, and we want to keep going! The Free Library had such an exciting year in 2019:

• We offered 35,684 programs throughout our 54 neighborhood libraries.
• We hosted over 4.9 million visits to our libraries and over 6 million more throughout online collections and resources on our website.
• We mentored over 160,000 students through LEAP (Literacy Enrichment Afterschool Program).
• We welcomed 1,349 teens to 97 programs in the first two months after the Field Teen Center opened at Parkway Central Library (an 843% increase in attendance over the same months last year!).

And, with the support of generous Free Library Fund donors, we plan to do even more in 2020. We simply cannot wait!

The City of Philadelphia provides for the operation of the Free Library’s facilities and infrastructure, but programs like our Author Events series, job-readiness trainings, special exhibitions, and culinary literacy classes are only possible with the support of generous people like you.
