Four Digital Learning Resources to Help You Prepare for the GED or HiSET Test

The Free Library has a number of electronic resources to support your learning remotely. If your GED or HiSET classes have been postponed or if you have not gotten around to registering for classes, you can practice for the GED or HiSET test with the following resources from the comfort of your own home using your library card and PIN.

GCF LearnFree provides tutorials and links to additional resources to prepare you for the GED or HiSET exam.

LearningExpress Library provides access to GED and HiSET practice tests, tutorials, ebooks, and flashcards at the High School Equivalency Center. A Spanish version is also available. Connect from a computer, tablet or smartphone; the mobile app supports iOS and Android devices. You can view a tutorial and overview of the LearningExpress Library resource on their website. conveniently offers live tutoring in the absence of an in-person tutor, daily between 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 midnight. (Spanish 2:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) If you are not interested in tutoring services, upload a question or a writing sample for feedback. The free mobile companion, To Go™ is available for iOS and Android devices.

Universal Class offers a free online GED Preparation class, which you can take at your own pace, as well as earning Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) and a Certificate.
