It's been another long week and with the weekend upon us, hopefully some rest and relaxation are on the agenda.
For kids of all ages (and the perpetually young at heart), Saturdays imparticular were once looked forward to as a simpler time when all you needed was a bowl of sugary cereal and your favorite cartoons.
Good thing Hoopla has lots of streaming animated content that you can relive or introduce to the children in your life to experience the fun of Saturday Morning Cartoons!
Did you know that there is a whole series of animated adaptations featuring Mo Willems' lovable, troublemaking Pigeon? Show these to the kids in your life and laugh yourselves silly! As an added bonus, watch the video below and learn how to draw Pigeon!
Nickelodeon has a number of entertaining and educational shows for young children to watch like Octonauts, Paw Patrol, and Bubble Guppies, as well as classic cartoons like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and Spongebob Squarepants in both English and Spanish!
Cartoon Network has had a steady stable of animated awesomeness for many years and lots of favorites can be found streaming on Hoopla, from Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Amazing World of Gumball, and We Bare Bears, to classic cartoons like Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Captain Planet, and Dexter's Laboratory!
For more mature audiences, there is also a selection of Cartoon Network's cult programming from their late-nite Adult Swim series like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros., Robot Chicken, Black Dynamite, Home Movies, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and even Rick and Morty!
And here's a few personal favorites that I was surprised and delighted to see available for streaming on Hoopla: memories of reading childhood picture books to my son came flooding back with The Busy World of Richard Scary, the wacky adventures of the high-tech equipped yet bumbling cyborg Inspector Gadget, Beavis and Butthead episodes hand-picked by Mike Judge, and all five seasons of Pee Wee's Playhouse!
Hoopla is available to use on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV, as well as on your computer, and mobile devices (iOS, Android, and Kindle).
Limit: four checkouts per month with your library card.
