As the hot days of summer linger, the Summer of Wonder brings you creative crafts, food for thought, and much-needed moments of self-care. Find a new way to chill out on August 15 for National Relaxation Day! Turn your eyes skyward this week to catch a meteor shower. Or cool down and enjoy these sweet watermelon-infused treats. There are just a few weeks left of the virtual Summer of Wonder! Have you collected enough points to earn a Completion Badge?

Monday: Imagination Station
Channel some transformation energy when you make butterfly wings and fly through the week!

Tuesday: Question Connection
Bugs have so many awesome superpowers! Learn more about bug anatomy and build a bug of your own.

Wednesday: Culture Corner
Go stargazing and hear stories from other cultures about the annual Perseids meteor showers.

Thursday: DIY Lit Lab
Many bugs use camouflage to hide from predators. Create an alphabet garden filled with bugs in disguise!

Friday: Freestyle
Go on a peaceful butterfly meditation with the Philly Reading Champs.

Pilates is a low impact exercise that helps improve flexibility and muscle strength. It is for all body types. Join Nicole on the McPherson Library Instagram to try it from home!

Family, Food, and Wellness: Cooking |Tuesday, August 11, 2:00 p.m.
Join us for a series of cooking and exercise for children and caregivers. Cooking classes get the whole family working together in the kitchen and feature delicious and healthy recipes that are quick and inexpensive to make! Tune in to the Culinary Literacy Center's Facebook Live.

Virtual Performance: Jazzy Ash | Wednesday, August 12, 11:00 a.m.
Celebrated children's performer Jazzy Ash specializes in bringing New Orleans-style jazz to children and families! This interactive concert, entitled "Fly Through My Window," will feature African American folk songs.
