By Gillian R. RSS Thu, September 3, 2020

The Business Resource and Innovation Center’s (BRIC) free business resources are accessible anywhere!

That means you can conduct business research at your leisure from the comfort of your home. So grab your cat, a hot beverage, and your business plan template. It’s time to get your research on!

Whether you’re currently thinking about entrepreneurship for the first time or you’re an established business owner, it’s always a good time to evaluate your competition. So what is a competitive analysis? In this section of your business plan, you will identify businesses with similar services and/or products to your own business. Once you’ve identified the businesses, you will evaluate their strategies to determine their strengths and weaknesses relative to those of your own product or service.

Does this sound like a tall order? Never fear, your trusty BRIC business librarian is here to break it down for you.

Check out our webinar introducing you to creating a competitive analysis.

In this comprehensive class, recorded on August 19, 2020, you will learn how to conduct a competitive analysis using free library resources! This class will introduce you to the knowledge required to identify your industry competitors, profile your key competition, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors against your own company.

So have your Free Library library card number and PIN and BRIC’s Guide to Creating a Competitive Analysis ready, press play, and let’s dive in!
