Introducing the Adult Literacy Book Club!

By Phil K. RSS Fri, November 6, 2020

Join the Adult Literacy Book Club, presented by the Free Library's Languages & Learning Center and the Center for Literacy, by improving your reading skills while reading and discussing interesting books!

Don't have a lot of time to read? No problem. The club only covers a few chapters at each meeting so you will have plenty of time to finish the book.

The Adult Literacy Book Club’s first book will be The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, which can be borrowed from our catalog in book, ebook, and audiobook formats.

The Hate U Give is the story of sixteen-year-old Starr Carter. After witnessing the shooting of her best friend by the police, Starr faces pressure from all sides of the community and must then stand up for what's right.

The Adult Literacy Book Club will meet every other Thursday from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. starting November 19. Register today!
