Go to the Friends' Annual Big Book Sale

We love the Friends of the Free Library . We love them not only because of all the wonderful work they do in supporting and advocating for the Free Library--we also love them for supplying us wth a steady stream of quality, affordable used books. This weekend the Friends will he holding their annual Big Book Sale at their Book Corner on 311 N. 20th Street. The sale runs from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 27, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It's an indoor/outdoor event--outside all fiction and non-fiction titles will be priced at $2.00 and under; inside all titles (excluding new children's books and select consignment items) will be marked 35% off. Incorporated in 1973, with more that 10,000 members, the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to support the Free Library of Philadelphia. Through affiliate neighborhood volunteer groups, they promote cooperation and communication between the community and the Free Library and advocate for library services for all.
